Great Works Technology Service Visit Agreement
1. Scope of Visit
The price and scope of your visit are as quoted to you in writing before the visit. Any additional work beyond that scope is quoted separately and requires your approval before it begins or is billed.
2. Fees and Payment
The visit fee shown at booking (the standard rate, or the flat same-day / emergency rate in its place) is paid by card through Stripe when you book. It reserves time on the schedule for you and covers travel and on-site diagnostics.
Our standard service range is 30 miles (straight-line) from our base. A $40 travel fee is added for service addresses between 30 and 50 miles away; it is shown before you pay and is refunded on the same terms as the visit fee. Addresses more than 50 miles away can't be booked online and are served only by approval; any fees are confirmed with you in writing before payment. If your address can't be verified when you book, an applicable travel fee may be added after the visit, and if the address turns out to be more than 50 miles away, we will contact you and refund your visit fee.
Your visit fee (and travel fee, if any) is refunded in full if you cancel:
- at least 24 hours before your confirmed appointment; or
- for a same-day / emergency booking, before the technician has arrived.
Other cancellations aren't refunded. Once the technician arrives at the agreed time, the visit fee isn't refunded, including if you aren't present or reachable, or decide not to go ahead with the recommended work after diagnosis. To cancel, call or text (747) 217-3199 or email service@grtwrx.com. Instead of cancelling, you can move your visit fee to a new appointment as described in Section 8.
If a same-day / emergency job is billed hourly, a surcharge of $50/hr (residential) or $100/hr (business) is added to the standard hourly rate. Any approved additional work is quoted before it begins and is due at the end of the visit, paid by card through Stripe. Receipts are sent by email.
3. Your Data
You are responsible for backing up your data before any hardware, software, or network work. Great Works Technology is not liable for data loss and recommends completing a full backup before the visit.
4. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Great Works Technology's total liability for any claim arising from the services performed is limited to the amount you paid for that service. Great Works Technology is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost profits, business interruption, or lost data. Nothing in this agreement limits liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
5. Pre-Existing Conditions
Great Works Technology is not responsible for pre-existing hardware failures, wear, or defects unrelated to the service performed, or for issues caused by third-party equipment, your internet service provider, or software outside our control.
6. Site Access and Safety
You agree to provide safe, reasonable access to the equipment or space being serviced. Great Works Technology may pause or decline service if conditions are hazardous, unsanitary, or hostile; since the trip and time were already committed, the visit fee isn't refunded in that case. Great Works Technology is not liable for delays caused by site conditions outside its control.
7. Workmanship Warranty
Labor performed is warrantied for 30 days from the visit date. Parts carry their manufacturer's warranty only.
8. Rescheduling and Cancellation
Your visit time is confirmed with you after booking. You may reschedule by contacting Great Works Technology at (747) 217-3199 or service@grtwrx.com at least 24 hours before the confirmed appointment (or, for a same-day / emergency booking, before the technician has arrived), and your visit fee carries over to the new time. Later requests are handled as cancellations under Section 2. If Great Works Technology needs to reschedule, including because of weather, road closures, or other events outside its control, your visit fee carries over; if a new time can't be agreed, it is refunded in full.
9. Authority
You confirm you are at least 18 years old and authorized to grant access to the premises and equipment being serviced. If you book on behalf of a business, you represent that you have authority to bind that business to this agreement.
10. Governing Law and Venue
This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of California. Any dispute shall be brought exclusively in the courts located in Los Angeles County, California, including small claims court where eligible.
11. Severability
If any provision of this agreement is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in full effect.
