Santa Clarita, San Fernando & Antelope Valleys

Data Backup

Photos, documents, and years of files sitting on one drive. We come to you, copy everything to a drive of your own, and check the copy before we leave. Your original is left untouched.

What's included

"Readable" means the drive mounts in the operating system and the files open.

Data backup pricing

Data copied Price
Up to 100GB $150
Up to 200GB $200
Over 200GB $200 + $25 per extra 50GB
Time past 3 hours on site $75/hr

For example, 300GB is $250, 400GB is $300, and 500GB is $350.

The price is based on the data actually copied (used space on the source, or the folders you choose), measured at the start of the visit, not on drive size. Your visit fee is credited toward the price, so nothing is stacked on top. Addresses 30 to 50 miles away add the usual $40 travel fee.

Full rates for everything else are on the pricing page.

Common Questions

How much does data backup cost?

Data backup starts at $150 for up to 100GB and $200 for up to 200GB. Over 200GB it is $200 plus $25 for each additional 50GB, so 300GB is $250, 400GB is $300, and 500GB is $350. Time past 3 hours on site is $75 per hour. Storage is not included.

How is the price decided?

By the data actually copied, either the used space on the source drive or the folders you choose, measured at the start of the visit. Drive size does not matter.

Do I need to supply a drive?

Yes. You provide a drive to copy to, or we can quote one for you before you buy. A drive we sell is covered by the manufacturer's warranty only.

Do you recover data from a failing drive?

No. We copy data from drives that mount and whose files open. We do not provide data extraction or recovery from failing, clicking, damaged, or unreadable drives.

Is one copy a backup?

Not by itself. If the new drive becomes the only copy once you delete the original, that is your decision. We will remind you of this on the recap.
